Описание: Hello, everyone and welcome to SA Today on 12 August 2025. We begin our tour of South Africa today with the Department of Home Affairs building in Germiston on fire. Reports indicate it was deliberately started. A violent protest over the eviction of illegal occupants from nearby flats resulted in a fire being set ablaze. Two individuals were arrested for arson and public violence. The blaze caused significant damage, including the collapse of a roof; however, no injuries were reported, as emergency services responded promptly. Next, snow on the Drakensberg Mountains as seen from the Castelburn Resort near Underberg in KZN. A lovely sunny day at Marina beach today. The common coral-tree (also known as the lucky bean tree), Pretoria. We await take-off from Cape Town International Airport and then fly over Cape Town. A big herd of Buffalo on the road near the Skukuza Rest Camp, in the Kruger National Park. An elephant and a calf were also spotted in Kruger Park. Hike around the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens in Betty's Bay, and we will show more from around South Africa today.

During the morning, residents in the south-western Cape Province, the interior of KwaZulu-Natal Province, and parts of the Highveld can expect a blanket of fog, creating a mysterious and serene landscape. Overall, most areas will experience cool to comfortable temperatures, making it a pleasant day to be outdoors. Fortunately, no fire warnings have been issued, ensuring safety for all.
