The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Heavy showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall totals of 50–90 mm, are expected in the Lowveld regions of Mpumalanga Province and Limpopo Province, bringing a low risk of widespread impacts but raising the possibility of localised flooding in vulnerable areas. The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning for disruptive rain in the Lowveld and escarpment of Limpopo Province and northeastern Mpumalanga Province, where flooding of roads, settlements, and low-lying bridges may occur. Additionally, extremely high fire danger conditions are in effect for the Northern Cape Province, parts of the West Coast District, and Drakenstein Municipality in the Western Cape Province.
