The big day has arrived! Our two newest penguin chicks finally took their first plunge into the waters of Penguin Cove! The little ones were hesitant at first, but zoologists say they now LOVE the water and have been enjoying their time swimming with the rest of the flock. These chicks don't have names just yet, but their personalities are definitely starting to emerge. The older chick, hatched on Jan. 20 is being raised by expert parents, Pickles and Althea, and is bold and brave with a fiery personality. The younger chick hatched on Feb. 5 to Charlee and Tazo, is more of the sweet, shy type.
