NEW SERIES "FLY FISHING ADVENTURES 2021" Day 1 to Crab Creek Washington on February 28 [Episode #1]

Описание: A Video Chronology of our adventures in 2021. Each day we go out fishing and filming during the year we will post a video that focuses as much on the adventure as the fishing. Rough edited and filmed mostly with our GoPro's and DJI Osmo Action Camera and drone. Sort of like "A day in the life of Fly Fishing with Ladin". We hope you will like this new format, but be sure we are still doing the usual full episodes and trailers we have been doing for years.

In this episode we head out on one of the first warmer days of the year. We start out looking at a different creek in Eastern Washington only to find out it is running high and muddy. So, we drive a ways to check out Crab Creek and fortunately it is clear and we get permission from a local farmer to fish his section of the creek. After a slow start in the first few holes the fish start biting in the early afternoon and they are really nice Rainbows. Larger than either of us were expecting. We have switched flies a few times and ended up getting hits on a size 12 Prince Nymph. It is a good general and all around fly for Northwest rivers and creeks. Ladin has trouble on this day getting the fish he hooks up with all the way to the net. In fact, we only manage one fish to the net but it is a beauty. I do not know if these are native red-bands or plants but they are beautiful either way. I have heard there are native red-bands in Crab Creek. All in all a great first day out for 2021.
