Dizi Sangi Abgoosht Recipe - How to Make a Traditional Persian Stew with Lamb

Описание: Welcome to my channel! In this video, I'll be showing you how to make a delicious and hearty Persian stew called Abgoosht, or Dizi Sangi. This recipe features tender lamb meat, chickpeas, potatoes, green chili pepper, and a flavorful mixture of tomato paste and spices. It's a comforting and satisfying meal that's perfect for any occasion.


1 lb lamb meat, cubed
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight and drained
2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 green chili pepper
Water
bread, for serving


To start, I sautéed chopped onions and lamb meat in a pot over medium heat. Once the meat was browned, I added a can of drained chickpeas, two tablespoons of tomato paste, turmeric, salt, and pepper. I also added water to cover the ingredients and let them simmer for about an hour.

After that, I added 2 small tomatoes, chopped potatoes and green chili pepper and let everything cook together until the potatoes were tender and there you have it!
