Say What God Says. Faith Talks First. You Can Have What You Say (When You Say What He Said)

Faith doesn’t try to drag Jesus down from heaven or raise Him up from the grave again—He’s already finished the work.
Today we unpack Romans 10:6–10 and Romans 4:17–21 to show how Bible faith talks, decides, and receives.
Key idea: Abraham didn’t deny reality; he agreed with God. When he wouldn’t say it, God changed his name (Genesis 17) so every introduction made him confess the promise: “Father of many nations.” Sarah became “Princess of many nations.” Within a year, Isaac was born (Genesis 21:1–2).
What you’ll learn
Romans 10 faith: Why faith doesn’t say “Lord, come do it again,” but puts God’s Word in your mouth and heart (Rom. 10:8–10).
Calling things that be not (Rom. 4:17): How to agree with God before you feel it or see it.
Why words matter: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Prov. 18:21). Your tongue is the rudder (Jas. 3) that steers your life.
Name change = confession: How God helped Abraham and Sarah say what He said until their faith was fully persuaded.
Healing & provision: You don’t say “I’m healed” because you feel healed—you say it because He said (1 Pet. 2:24). You don’t say “I’m provided for” because you see it—you say it because 2 Cor. 8:9 declares His grace for your supply.
Core Scriptures
Romans 10:6–10 — The word is near you, in your mouth and heart.
Romans 4:17–21 — Abraham called things that were not as though they were and was fully persuaded.
Genesis 17 — God renamed Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah so they would speak promise.
Proverbs 18:21 — Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
1 Peter 2:24 — “By His stripes you were healed.”
2 Corinthians 8:9 — “Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be made rich.”
Simple How-To (do this today)
Decide what you’re believing for (healing, family salvation, provision).
Pray once and believe you receive (Mark 11:24). Write the date/time.
Switch to praise—thank God you have it now (Heb. 13:15; Luke 17:15–19).
Say what He said daily. Not feelings. Scripture.
Refuse contradictions—don’t argue with symptoms or circumstances; agree with the Word.
A confession you can speak
“Father, I agree with Your Word. I call my body healed, my family saved, and my needs supplied—because You said so. I am fully persuaded that what You promised, You are able to perform. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
