In this video, I show you a boiled plantain recipe for weight loss which falls under the category of Nigerian meals for weight loss.
Plantains are rich in complex carbs and fiber among many other nutrients and vitamins, which keeps us full for longer than other simpler carbs making them fit for weight loss and weight management if prepared carefully.
Eggs are rich in protein, they fuel our muscles and also keep us feeling full for longer.
The key to losing weight eating plantains and eggs is to watch the volume consumed and how we prepare them. Oil is very high in calories, so frying in a lot of oil will bump up the calories count.
I used a whole medium plantain in this recipe, you can choose to eat less than a full medium plantain to further reduce the calories in this meal.
