In this video, Swami Mukundananda explains how Lord Shiva worshipped Lord Rama in Ayodhya, the birth city of Lord Rama. Lord Shiva is a devotee of Lord Rama, and Lord Rama also worships Lord Shiva in the Ramayana. To get the Darshan of baby Lord Rama who was born in Ayodhya, Lord Shiva disguises himself as a priest and arrives in Ayodhya. However, due to the huge crowd waiting for Lord Ram's Darshan, Lord Shiva couldn't see Baby Rama.

Lord Shiva disappointed on not being able to see Baby Lord Rama went to the nearby river bank and started praying to the Lord. Meanwhile, back in Ayodhya Baby Lord Rama on not being able to see Lord Shiva started crying uncontrollably, this forces Mother Kaushalya and the other Sakhis to find a priest who could stop Baby Rama's crying. They eventually meet Lord Shiva and ask for his help and, upon seeing Lord Shiva baby Rama's crying stops and Lord Shiva holds Baby Lord Rama in his laps.

This Leela shows how causelessly merciful Lord Rama is towards his devotees. When we have the devotion and a true longing to attain God, the Supreme Lord will definitely fulfill our wishes. On this Ram Navami, let's increase our love and devotion to Lord Rama and pray for his grace.
