Описание: After all the hand wringing and troubleshooting effort, the problem is a simple lack of connectivity between the two AA batteries and the radio. I install a bypass circuit to go around the unreliable battery contacts and establish a permanent connection into the radio. All that is left now is reassembly. Thank you for the support and encouragement to keep going.
