So I've already showed you what Brisbane's latest CityCats look like, so I thought it was time to show you the first ones.
Launched in November 1996, Mirbapra is one of the first CityCats to enter service and has been a workhorse, carrying commuters and tourists alike up and down the river. These ferries have seen many changes over the years, from new seat fabrics, seat layouts and at one point, even bottled water vending machines onboard!
The CityCat is a relaxing way to travel around Brisbane and nearly a quarter-of-a-century after the first ones were launched, they are still kicking around and doing well. Many of these great ferries have received interesting special liveries (and some have just got plain ugly ones too). Either way, now is a great time to jump out on a CityCat and explore the River City!
