This video is long overdue, as I wanted to do the museum experience justice. I had a fantastic day and if you're looking for something to do on a Sunday, I can definitely recommend paying the Tramway Museum a visit!
So you know about the G:Link trams on the Gold Coast, and you probably know that Brisbane USED to have trams, up until the late 1960's. But did you know that some of these old trams have been preserved? On a Sunday afternoon, you can make your way over to Ferny Grove and head to the Brisbane Tramway Museum to spend a few hours checking out our Trams of old!
As part of the 135 years of Public Transport in Brisbane celebration, the Tramway Museum had a special opening day on the 9th of August, in conjunction with the Queensland Omnibus and Coach Society (QOCS) who brought along a few of their own buses to show off.
Here is the first part of the 135 years of Public Transport in Brisbane, where Bus 100 and a replica Horse-drawn tram were on display in King George Square:
