Short comedy about a man who is laughed at in the street for his checkered hat. He decides to buy a new one. However, the new hat is so awkwardly large that it causes all kinds of accidents. Ultimately, the hat even serves as a grid for roasting fish.

Een man wordt op straat uitgelachen om zijn geruite hoed. Hij besluit een nieuwe te kopen. Deze is echter zo onhandig groot dat er allerlei ongelukken door plaatsvinden. Uiteindelijk dient de hoed zelfs als rooster om visjes op te braden.
