In this episode, I start from southern Bulgaria (Chepelare) and ride through Asenovgrad, Popovitsa, Stara Zagora, and the Pass of the Republic to Veliko Tarnovo — battling rain, slick roads, and strange encounters along the way — all to reach this legendary stronghold.
