Police have confirmed the death of four people in an accident along the Mbale-Tororo road.
Rogers Taitika, the Police spokesperson for Elgon region said a fuel tanker hit a pick-up truck belonging to Dott construction services then rammed into a number of shops nearby.
Eight people have been injured. This is the second accident in two days in Mbale. On Tuesday, three people were killed in an accident involving a number of vehicles.
