On August 4, a pine warbler (#20-3728), was admitted to the #CROWClinic after reportedly hitting a window then being attacked by a larger bird. The finder also reported the patient to have an injury to the eye, and it was confirmed to have a corneal ulcer in its left eye during examination using a flouroscein stain. The patient was started on anti-inflammatory and antibiotic eye drops to treat the ulcer. After a few days, the ulcer improved. The bird successfully passed a flight test in an outdoor enclosure and was cleared for release once the ulcer fully resolved.
