It was Elin's 6th birthday and we took her for a day at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
This was our first visit, we weren't too sure she would be able to get much out of a day at the zoo, but we were wrong. Seven hours later a very tired special needs family started the drive home.
We took Elin to the aquarium, butterfly house and on the steam train, which has wheelchair access! We also used the disabled changing facilities, not the changing place but another facility, and were pleasantly surprised by how good the disabled access at Whipsnade Zoo was.
We are a special needs family in the UK getting through life one coffee at a time, documenting our lives with warmth and humour.
