Описание: Sheila Dixon uses the story of a brief interaction with a young man from Baltimore to illustrate to our audience why every action we take to better ourselves- and our city- should be conscious and deliberate. Sheila Ann Dixon served as the forty-eighth mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. When the former mayor, Martin O'Malley, was sworn in as governor on January 17, 2007. She was the first African-American female to serve as president of the City council, Baltimore's first female mayor, and Baltimore's third black mayor. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
