Old Fashioned Sour Cream Donuts have always been one of my favorites, but I never knew they were so easy to make. These simply delicious donuts are so light and fluffy you feel like you could eat a dozen of them and the amazing glaze will have you licking your fingers. Perfect with a good cup of coffee.
Ingredients:
Oil for frying
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, very soft
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup sour cream
2 large egg yolks
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups cake flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
Glaze:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Pinch of salt
1 to 3 tablespoons milk
