Описание: In this video at Holbeach AWR, a place to bring your aircraft to blow up and shoot stuff, we have a Chinook from RAF Odiham that will be live firing. The Chinook is armed with two 7.62mm M134 Miniguns and one 7.62mm M60D machine gun. The Chinook carried out 2 separate live firing sorties on the day and expended a total of 16,000 rounds! Not all rounds were captured in the video.

If red warning flags or red lights are displayed, regardless of timings, please remain clear of the range area.
Whenever warning signals are displayed, do not cross the range boundary.

Do not touch any military debris it may be dangerous. Please note the location and inform a member of range staff or police.

All ranges with scheduled hours may close earlier due to weather or low user requirement, particularly evening activity.

The Chinook is an extremely capable and highly versatile support helicopter that can be operated from land bases or ships into a diverse range of environments, from the Arctic to the desert or jungle. The aircraft may be armed and is fitted with a suite of self-defence equipment allowing it to operate across the battlespace. Chinooks are primarily used for trooping, resupply and battlefield casualty evacuation (casevac).

Secondary roles include search and rescue (SAR), and supporting a wide variety of specialist tasks, including the Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA) commitment. A Chinook crew comprises two pilots and two crewmen, supplemented by specialists dependent upon mission requirements.

Holbeach Air Weapons Range is a United Kingdom Ministry of Defence academic air weapons range (AWR) located at The Wash where aircraft can fire live ammo, strafe, use laser, drop bombs or fire rockets in order to carry out combat and various training. Aircraft will need to be cleared to enter the range as well as been cleared for the use of ordinance. Aircraft will squawk 7002.
