INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS 325 DEGREES 35 MINUTES
1/4 CUP 10X (CONFECTIONER ) SUGAR
2 CUPS FLOUR
1 CUP BUTTER
1 CUP BLANCHED ALMONDS
1 TSP. VANILLA
ADDITIONAL 10 X SUGAR FOR COATING
GRIND THE ALMONDS IN THE PROCESSOR. DON'T GRIND TOO FINELY OR YOU WILL HAVE ALMOND BUTTER! ADD THE FLOUR AND 10 X SUGAR AND CONTINUE TO PROCESS (WHICH WILL MORE FINELY GRIND THE NUTS)
ADD THE BUTTER IN SMALL PIECES AND PROCESS TO CUT IN THE BUTTER.PROCESS UNTIL DOUGH STARTS TO COME TOGETHER AND ADD VANILLA.
PULSE JUST LONG ENOUGH FOR DOUGH TO FORM.
SHAPE INTO BALLS AND PLACE ON PARCHMENT COVERED COOKIE SHEET AND BAKE AT 325 FOR ABOUT 35 MINUTES.ROLL IN 10 X SUGAR
CAN ALSO BE MADE IN A MIXER WITH SOFT BUTTER BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO FINELY CHOP THE ALMONDS BY HAND. IF DONE IN A MIXER,CREAM THE BUTTER AND SUGAR . ADD THE VANILLA.ADD FLOUR AND NUTS AND FORM AS ABOVE.
