Pole Fishing with Pinkies at Plainville Lake York

Описание: A year to the day, this time last year the rain came and and came and came. This year it as exactly the same and following a week of heavy, heavy rain brought in on the jet stream, yet again the rivers rose and my end of season river fishing plans go out the window and I head back for an early spring session to Plainville Lake, Wigginton York to do some pole fishing for bream and F1's.

This time however I decide to ignore the margins and concentrate on fishing down the main track. I decide to fish two lines both at 9.5m but feed one with sonubaits groundbait mixing sweet f1 and supercrush green in a 3:1 ratio respectively and just loose feed pinkies on the other.

Initially I feed a little chopped worm and big maggot on the groundbait line however it quickly becomes apparent that the fish are biting delicately, won't take large hookbait and I therefore decide to switch onto pinkies and groundbait.

Pole fishing for skimmers and bream with pinkies, the difference in the stamp of fish on the loose fed line and the groundbait line is night and day.
