stuck sierra/silverado bed bolts. ring nut spinning not allowing bolts to drop.

Описание: The ring nut let's loose and is spinning with the bolt not allowing you to get the bolt out and take your bed off....cut your bolts with a Sawzall or any way available to get your bed off. Cut the bolts as close to the frame as you can...once you have the bed off, weld the ring nut in place. (you can pop off the plate with a hammer and chizel if you'd like more welding room for a better bite on your weld). hit with penetrating oil and HEAT (can't stress that enough). if you have enough of the bolt fragments exposed just try to use vice grips with a lot of pressure to spin it out. you can try welding a nut to the top of the bolt if that doesn't work...and if you can't get THAT to work for you, cut an opening in the subframe to get to the underside of the bolt. .DO NOT CLAMP ON OR MESS UP THE UNDERSIDE BOLT THREADS WITH VICE GRIPS otherwise you will likely destroy your threads taking the bolt out and you'll have to fabricate a whole new hole and thread set up. my bolts had a 1/2 inch of threadless section at the bottom I was able to grab on to.

If this was successful for you, before you put the bed back on, make sure you clean out all your bed holes and chase them with one of the old bolts so you know the new bolts will go in easily when you go to put the bed on.
