Weymouth is like so many places these days. Behind the pleasant facade and the Summer delights, lies a fading town full of empty shops, closing down sales, and an air of dilapidation. I used to work in a town that was lively and thriving, even in Winter, but now, like so many places, the town is fading.
We visited on 29/12/2025, on a very cold and blustery day as Karen's daughter and the grandkids were down. Plenty of people about, plenty of dogs on the beach, but I found it hard to shake the feeling that the town is in desperate need of investment. But then, where isn't?
