In today’s video, we’re heading to the stunning South Coast of England to explore the beautiful seaside town of Weymouth in Dorset.
I take a look at the peaceful harbour and the fishing boats going about their daily routine.
I wander along the Esplanade, which is a stunning stretch of Georgian architecture that made Weymouth famous as the first-ever seaside resort, thanks to King George III.
The American War Memorial is one of the most moving parts of the trip. Commemorating thousands of American GIs who embarked from Weymouth and Portland for the D-Day landings in 1944. It’s a powerful reminder of the town’s contribution to the Allied victory.
