A very busy day at York today, with two different steam charters due.
Firstly, we see LMS Black 5 44871 come in with the West Coast Railways York Yuletide Express Charter from Norwich.
Shortly after the Black 5 left, the second charter came in hauled by Class 55 Deltic No. 55022 'Royal Scots Grey', completing the first half of the LSL Edinburgh Christmas Market rail tour from London Kings Cross.
The Deltic was detached from the tour and ran solo to Carlisle, and was replaced with A2 60532 'Blue Peter' which would take charge of the second leg of the tour from York to Edinburgh.
I later headed up to Newcastle to get a shot of Blue Peter heading straight through the station which I thought turned out really well.
