Описание: On January 22, 2025, Las Cruces Police Officers responded to a call of a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. Responding officers discovered a woman slumped over the steering wheel with the vehicle running and still in drive. After several attempts, which including pounding on the window of the vehicle, officers were able to wake up the 23-year-old woman. She indicated that she was tired from working a double shift at a dispensary. While she admitted to smoking cannabis, she denied consuming any alcohol. She agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which resulted in her being arrested for Driving While Under the Influence. At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.10% BAC. She was transported to the Dona Ana County Detention Center, where a white powdery substance was found in her clothing. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
