Gadget, Penny and Brain travel to an exotic spa resort to investigate the disappearance of famed movie star, Tag Shrapnel, who's been kidnapped by Claw and Talon to star in MAD's newest recruitment video. // When Gadget comes down with the flu, it's up to Penny and Brain to track down MAD's newest agent on their own, a mysterious super villain who always seems to be one step ahead of them.

Dr. Claw has MAD install a volcano-maker underneath city hall in order to destroy Metro City. To distract Gadget and ensure success, he sends Talon out to impersonate Gadget's old singing partner, suddenly back in town…but really he wants to coax Gadget out of retirement to make a new record. Claw is secretly a huge fan. With Gadget occupied by the return of his partner, Quimby caves to Penny’s pleading and sends her on her first solo mission. Unfortunately for the disguised Talon, Gadget seeks musical inspiration through adrenaline rushes, unwittingly putting Brain and Talon in danger in the process! Penny finds the volcano-maker, but is overwhelmed by MAD agents, and she realizes that she works better as part of a team. She calls Gadget for help and together they save the day, defeating the MAD henchmen and destroying the volcano-maker. // Dr. Claw sends Talon to oversee the digging of a network of tunnels underneath Metro City so MAD agents can move around undetected, but mostly so he can skip traffic jams while running errands. Quimby tells the Gadget gang that MAD's digging will cause earthquakes, but Gadget focuses on finding the lost subway station of Atlantis Avenue before MAD finds it. Meanwhile, Quimby orders Penny to take the day off and relax with Kayla at the beach. However, she’s drawn into the mission when an earthquake traps her underground with Talon! They face off as they try to escape the cavern, until Gadget arrives, burrowing into the cavern in his search for Atlantis Avenue Station. Talon takes off, and Penny is free to reunite with Kayla on the beach.
