THE UPDATE IS HERE. The first update since - Cleo the orphan foal.
Little Cleo is now 8 months old and is ready to be weaned from her foster mum Little Mumma.
Cleo has four foals in her stud year group - Julius and Lu Lu the Anglos as well as her other brother Finale the only other pure breed Arabian for the 2018 season.
Cleo has not had a lot of training leading up to weaning, we teach all of our foals to be handled, have their feet done and wear a halter. Other then that we like to let them spend the time they need with their mothers and learn the social structures of a herd.
Growing up in a herd is very important for a young horses. It is where they learn discipline, heard hierarchy, but most importantly pressure and release - one of our key principles for future training.
