In May 2014, 172 wild horses were mustered in off the Kaimanawa Ranges in New Zealand. Largely thanks to Kaimanawa Heritage Horses, homes were found for 157 horses, while the remaining 15 re-homable horses were slaughtered.
This video details the journey of two horses saved from slaughter as they reunite years later.
