Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit India later this year, and PM Modi is expected to visit China for the first time in over seven years to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, where he may meet both Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. These meetings have sparked speculation about the possible revival of the Russia–India–China grouping to counterbalance US influence.
