On the weekend of the 7th and the 8th March 2026, the Nene Valley Railway held their annual Diesel Gala, which featured their home fleet, as well as visiting Class 66 66791 'Settle and Carlisle 150'. On the Sunday I visited, the DMU services up to the Network Rail connection at Fletton Junction was provided by Swedish Y7 Railcar 1212 and trailer 1987, although these sadly only made it one stop before being declared a failure and being taken back to the depot. "It's not a diesel gala unless something goes pear-shaped".
