The Western Cape High Court has dismissed the bail appeal application of the murder accused, Zane Kilian. Kilian brought the appeal after the Bellville Regional Court denied him bail in March. He is charged with the murder of anti-gang unit investigator, Charl Kinnear, who was shot and killed outside his Bishop Lavis Home in September last year. In an emailed judgment, judge Ashley Binns-Ward said the magistrate who denied Kilian bail, was justified in finding that a prima facie case indeed existed against him in Kinnear's murder.
