Glutinous Rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf or Lo Mai Gai (糯米鸡) is a cult favourite dim sum in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. It has a distinct fagrant made in heaven thanks to the lotus leaf. That is why this dish is also called 荷叶饭 or lotus leaf rice. If you do away with the lotus leaf, it's ok but it wouldn't be the same.
