Some contents is taking longer to post. before that I’m posting this Spicy Potato Masala Recipe.
This is a simple, spicy, and very tasty potato masala that goes perfectly with rice, chapati, dosa, or poori.

🥔 Ingredients
Potato – 3 to 4 (peeled & cut into cubes)
Salt – as required
For grinding masala:
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic cloves – 6 to 8
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Whole black pepper – ½ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Water – as needed (to grind)
For tempering:
Coconut oil – enough (oil is important for taste)
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – few
Green chilli – 1 (chopped or sliced)
Optional:
Chilli flakes – for extra spice
Coriander leaves – for garnish

👩‍🍳 Method
Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-sized cubes.
Boil water, add the potatoes and salt.
Cook for 10 minutes or pressure cook for 1 whistle only.
👉 Do not overcook. Drain and keep aside.
For the masala paste, add ginger, garlic, red chilli powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, cumin seeds, and water.
Grind into a thick paste.

Heat a pan and add coconut oil (use a little extra oil for perfect spicy taste).

Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilli.
Add the ground masala paste and cook well until the oil starts separating.

Now add the cooked potatoes and mix gently so the potatoes don’t break.

Cook for a few more minutes until everything is well coated and flavorful.

For extra spice, add chilli flakes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
