During the Fly Fishers International Southeast Council Fall Get Together John Mathews conducted a seminar on wading a South Carolina Flast. He discussed the environment of a flat, a strategy that he uses on the flat when searching or as he puts it hunting for redfish that is swimming onto the flat in the search of food.
John has over 500 wading experience in various flats that are in the Beaufort, SC area. The seminar was conducted on his favorite flat located only 10 minutes from his home.
While there was no redfish spotted it was a great educational experience for future outings. I'm hoping that what I learned that I could apply here in Charleston.
