This video I show the difference between the 2017 Mayfly to the 2026 Mayfly.
Some improvements that I noticed:
1. An improved seal gasket on the door hatches.
3. Fly Box Storage Doors removed so that bigger fly boxes for bass and saltwater flies that an utilize the storage space.
3. Jackson has incorporated their Comfort Seat 5.0 into the newly released Mayfly. Which eliminates the pin fasteners, so the seat is much easier to change from high to low seating while on the water. It also provides a higher sitting height compared to the original Mayfly seat. The Comfort Seat 5.0 has these benefits:
3a. Improved Lower Back Support
3b. Better Pressure Distribution
3c. Increased Leverage & Stability
3d. More Natural Leg Position
If you are currently the owner of the original Jackson Mayfly and would like to upgrade to the Comfort Seat 5.0 you need to purchase:
1. Update the Seat Sliders for the Comfort Seat V2 Kit,
2. Get the Comfort Seat 5.0 or the Comfort Seat 4.0.
