"Pãrinteasca dimãndari" (The advice of our forefathers) is the anthem of the Aromanians, written by Constantin Belemace in 1888 in Bucharest.

Aromanians are a branch of Eastern Latinity, along with Daco-Romanians, Megleno-Romanians and Istro-Romanians. The origin of the Aromanians is disputed, but one point of agreement among all historians, ethnologists, linguists and philologists is that the Daco-Romanians, the Megleno-Romanians and the Istro-Romanians are descended from the Proto-Romanians.

They live south of the Danube, in the Balkans (Dobruja region, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia), their number is not known exactly, but it is estimated to be around 250k Aromanians. They are also known as Vlachs from the Balkans.

Aromânii sunt o ramură a latinității răsăritene, alături de daco-românii, meglenoromânii și istro-românii. Originea aromânilor este disputată, dar un punct de acord între toți istoricii, etnologii, lingviștii și filologii este că dacoromânii, meglenoromânii și istroromânii sunt descendenți din protoromâni.

Ei trăiesc la sud de Dunăre, în Balcani (Dobrogea, Albania, Grecia, Bulgaria și Macedonia de Nord), numărul lor nu este cunoscut exact, dar se estimează că sunt în jur de 250k de aromâni. De asemenea sunt cunoscuți și ca vlahi din Balcani sau mai popular machidoni.
