Tummala Nageswara Rao Inaugurates Evwaah – Weavers Hub Exhibition at Firewater | FRIDAY TALKS

Описание: WATCH Telangana State Agriculture, Handlooms & Textiles Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao inaugurated the Evwaah – Weavers Hub Exhibition organized under the leadership of socialite Alekya Reddy at Firewater Neo Kitchen & Bar, located in the Financial District, Nanakramguda, Hyderabad.

Speaking at the event, the Minister described handloom as “the comforting embrace of a mother” and emphasized the cultural significance of silk and handloom products in Indian tradition. He encouraged everyone to wear handloom garments and extend greater support to weavers.

Organizer Alekya Reddy stated that the exhibition, running until the 22nd of this month, showcases an exclusive collection of traditional and handcrafted textiles. The event features over 1,000 varieties of handloom sarees including Banarasi, Kanjeevaram, Gadwal, Pochampally, and Mangalagiri weaves.

The primary social objective of the exhibition is to support weavers and provide stronger market access to the handloom industry. Being hosted for the first time, the exhibition is planned to be organized once every month.
