Описание: The main line beyond Leongatha had been closed for close to two years when rail recovery trains at about two week intervals were commenced for the recovery of the now disused 84 lbs/yd rail from between Foster and Leongatha. The removal of rail from Foster to the top of the Hoddle Range had been completed when the first pictures at Fish Creek on this video were taken. Rail was dragged from near Hoddle and stacked beside Fish Creek passenger platform for pick up by recovery trains. Not long later as seen, even the rail through Fish Creek had been removed and dragged to the latest stockpile on the Melbourne side of Boys Road a couple of kilometres or so on the Leongatha side of Fish Creek. We see here the last train from the area being loaded with the recovered rails. After departure, we see the train passing through Buffalo and we then follow it through the South Gippsland countryside scenery to Meeniyan, over the Tarwin River timber Trestle bridges, on through Koonwarra and Leongatha to Korumburra. We later return to Buffalo and see the tracks that have been pulled up there, before going to Stony Creek to see the rail tracks there before they were pulled up. The next video continues with rail being loaded at Stony Creek that was reclaimed from the section from Buffalo.
