This week I'll lead you through a hands-free slow flow yoga practice. This is a short sequence with standing poses only and no weight bearing on hands, wrists or shoulders. There are no Downward Dogs or Planks in this practice - I guarantee 😊 This hopefully makes the practice more accessible to anyone with aches or injuries in the hands or arms.
We'll focus on spine mobility and leg strength with a slowly moving flow and a couple of standing balancing poses. The practice starts and ends with two variations of the 6-Part Daoist Breath to help ground ourself with our breath.
I've planned this as an everyday yoga practice; all poses are standing up without any props, so preparations for this one are hopefully quite minimal. You can choose to add Savasana pose at the end of your practice or just continue your day without resting if that's not what you need or want today 🙂
This is an all-levels, prop-free yoga practice!
