By analyzing existing literature, recent case laws, and empirical data, the presentation will shed light on the systemic factors that exacerbate racial disparities arising from the deployment of AI technologies in various sectors including healthcare. It will examine the legal, ethical, and social implications associated with the use of biased AI systems and their impacts on health equity, emphasizing the urgent need for further research to highlight and addresses the biases arising from the use of the technology.

Drawing on the concepts of "the new Jim Crow" by Michele Alexander and "the new Jim Code" by Ruha Benjamin, the presentation will highlight the parallels between historical racial injustices and the bias observed in contemporary AI systems.
