Описание: Stanko Premrl (1880-1965) was a Slovenian priest, composer, and music teacher. He studied in Vienna, was later head of the Organ School in Ljubjana, and for 30 years was Music Director at the Ljubjana Cathedral. This piece, from “l’Organista d’Oggi, Vol. 1” lists him as Mastro di Cappella at the Cathedral, so the composition may pre-date his directorship. Really intended for pipe organ, but printed on two staves, it is playable on a reed organ with a Pedal Point mechanism. This late-model Mustel “Classique” harmonium has the French version of a Pedal Point, called Prolongement. The organ has five bass stops (six ranks) and eight treble stops (ten ranks) in a rosewood case. It is the latest harmonium in the collection of the Mustel store in Paris (now, really a Sony store), run by M. François Péron. Performed by Michael Hendron; recorded 25 September 2018. Many thanks to François and Katherine Péron for their warm welcome, and permission to explore their collection!
