A surprise Friday appearance of the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad Rail Diesel Cars (RDC's) in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Affectionately known as "Buddliners," this excursion brings passengers from Reading Outer Station, Port Clinton, and Tamaqua into Jim Thorpe.
These self-propelled RDC's were built by the former Budd Company of Philadelphia for commuter train service in various cities. #9166 is the Refreshment Car, and #9167 is a complete passenger coach. Not in service on this day was #9168 which is also a passenger coach.
