I finally decided the time has come to have a proper machinist's jack for use on the milling machine table. Cheap ones are available but quality ones seem expensive for what they are, so I decided to make one based on the Starrett design.
In part 1 I make the body, packing pieces, and make a start on the ball mounted pad. I hope to complete it in part 2.
