Hope all of you are doing well, staying Safe and Healthy!
Today’s Dessert Recipe I am making Honey Bun Cake!
Moist, Flavorful, Decedent and taste just like a Honey Bun; has a brown sugar filling in the middle and drizzle with an Evaporated Milk Glaze that will sure to make your mouth water!!
And the best part, no Mixer Required!!

Ellen’s Sweet Potato Honey Bun Cake Recipe: • Ep. 398: Sweet Potato Honey Bun Cake 🍠🍰
Cake
1 (15.25 oz) box butter golden or yellow cake mix
3/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup real mayonnaise
4 jumbo or extra large eggs, room temperature
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Brown Sugar Filling
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with baking spray with flour, set aside.
For the Brown Sugar Filling:
In a small or medium bowl, add brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if using); stir until well incorporated and set aside.
For the Cake:
In a large bowl, add cake mix, oil, mayonnaise, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla extract; using a whisk, mix everything until well combined. Pour half of the cake batter into the pan then sprinkle all the brown sugar/cinnamon filling on top then pour the rest of the cake batter on top and spread evenly. Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown or toothpick in the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and while still hot, drizzle the glaze and spread it all over, serve warm or room temperature, and enjoy!!!
For the Glaze:
In a small bowl, add powdered sugar; whisk or sift until well combined then add evaporated milk and vanilla extract; stir until well incorporated. (The glaze will be thick).
