CROWDWORK: A FUTURE FACING, FLEXIBLE INCOME PATHWAY OR A ROAD TO CONTINUED INEQUITY?

Описание: McKinsey Global Institute (2019) writes “In the automation age, women face new challenges overlaid on long-established ones. Technology adoption could displace millions from their jobs; many others will need to change the way they work. Globally, 40 to 160 million women may need to transition between occupations by 2030, often into higher-skilled roles. If they make these transitions, women could find more productive, better paid work; if they don’t, they could face a growing wage gap or leaving the labour market.”

There is a global need to reskill, and women who have missed out on training and/or work to date should not continue to miss out on future facing opportunities. This webinar will explore if digital labour platforms and crowdwork present a viable, decent work pathway for women in the SCE pilot, while also seeking to understand the challenges and pitfalls of such platforms.
