In this video, I will show you how to change the transmission fluid in an Allison 2400RDS transmission that is due for a oil change. This method will work the same way for the Allison 1000, 2000 and possibly 3000 series.
After changing the ATF (automatic transmission fluid), I will demonstrate getting the transmission to operating temperature in order to correctly and accurately ensure the fluid levels are correct to prevent underfilling and overfilling the transmission.
