Описание: The Strike Gundam is one of the five prototype mobile suits (G Weapons) secretly developed by the Earth Alliance's Atlantic Federation in collaboration with Morgenroete, a public enterprise of the Orb Union, at the Orb-controlled resource colony Heliopolis. Among the five, the Strike Gundam was the last to be completed, utilizing the X100 series frame architecture similar to the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam and GAT-X103 Buster Gundam. Due to being the final model, the Strike Gundam boasts higher frame completion and greater range of motion than the other units, with improved mobility thanks to the higher distribution of processing load to its limbs. Additionally, feedback from the GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam and GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam was incorporated, making Strike Gundam the most refined unit among the GAT-X series.

The defining feature of the Strike Gundam is its unique "Striker Pack System," which allows it to exchange equipment packs depending on the combat situation. This system enables the Gundam to adapt to specific missions, achieving performance on par with or exceeding that of specialized mobile suits. By swapping out equipment, unnecessary weight is reduced, improving efficiency. Each Striker Pack is also equipped with an auxiliary battery, allowing the Strike Gundam to immediately return to battle without the need for resupply, even during extended operations. In Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the Strike Gundam, piloted by Kira Yamato, utilizes three distinct Striker Packs: the "Aile Striker" for high mobility, armed with a beam rifle, shield, and beam sabers; the "Sword Striker" for close combat with a large anti-ship sword; and the "Launcher Striker" for long-range bombardment with a powerful cannon. Throughout the first half of Gundam SEED, Kira's Strike Gundam achieves numerous victories using the versatile Striker Pack System.

On April 17, C.E. 71, the Strike Gundam was heavily damaged in battle against the Aegis Gundam and was subsequently recovered by the Orb Union. Orb repaired and restored the Strike Gundam, manufacturing additional spare parts and adjusting its OS for Natural pilots.

The "Striker Pack System" adopted by the Strike Gundam later influenced various mass-produced mobile suits, including the Earth Alliance’s Dagger series and ZAFT’s ZAKU Warrior series with its Wizard Packs. It also had a significant impact on the development of the Silhouette equipment swap system used by the Second Stage mobile suits, such as the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam, and on option weapons used by the Librarian’s Re-GEN units. The Earth Alliance's mass-production model, the GAT-105 Dagger, and its direct descendant, the Strike Dagger, were also derived from the Strike Gundam. The backpack structure of Orb's M1 Astray units was likewise influenced by the Aile Striker Pack.
