The Yenko Deuce used the standard 1970 Chevrolet LT‑1 350 small‑block specification as installed via COPO, essentially the same as Z/28 and Corvette LT‑1s of that year.
Core LT‑1 specs (as used in Deuce)
Displacement: 350 cubic inches (5.7 L) small‑block V8.
Rated output in the Nova/Yenko Deuce: 360 hp (gross) with solid‑lifter camshaft.
Compression ratio: 11.0:1 high‑compression performance setup.
Induction: High‑rise aluminum dual‑plane intake with a Holley 4‑barrel carburetor (around 780–800 cfm).
Valve train: Mechanical (solid) lifters, high‑lift performance cam, 2.02 in intake and 1.60 in exhaust valves in high‑flow heads.
Construction details: 4‑bolt‑main block, forged pistons, heavy‑duty rotating assembly and bottom end suitable for sustained high‑rpm use.
In Yenko Deuce form, that LT‑1 was backed by a 4‑speed manual and a 12‑bolt Positraction rear (often 4.11:1), making the car a very high‑revving, small‑block “junior supercar.”
Mechanically, the LT‑1 in a Yenko Deuce Nova is the same basic 350 LT‑1 small‑block that Chevrolet used in the 1970 Corvette and Z/28; the differences are in application, rating, and supporting hardware rather than a special “Yenko‑only” LT‑1 design.

Chevrolet rated the Corvette LT‑1 at 370 hp and the Camaro/Nova LT‑1 at 360 hp, but the engines themselves are effectively the same
Chassis and installation context
In the Corvette, the LT‑1 sits in a heavier, independent‑rear‑suspension sports car with factory Corvette cooling, exhaust, and gauges; in the Yenko Deuce it is installed in a lighter, leaf‑spring Nova body via COPO, backed typically by a close‑ratio 4‑speed and a 12‑bolt Positraction axle with aggressive gearing.
