Most people think Illidan is all about Hunt picks and flashy dives, but that’s not how you consistently win games.
In this match, I focus on pressuring the offlane, stacking Unending Hatred, and scaling safely into the late game while maintaining an XP advantage that wins the map.
I take Metamorphosis over Hunt, not because Hunt is bad — but because Meta gives you control. It lets you dodge key enemy abilities (Diablo Apocalypse, Malfurion Twilight Dream), splitpush without fear, and choose when fights actually happen.
This is the classic Illidan playstyle done correctly:
Win the offlane
Keep the XP lead
Force the enemy into bad 4v4s
Hit 20 first and end the game
